Community guidelines
Version 0.1. All documents
Fortified Fuel Fitness & Nutrition, operated by Jeff Beck, Daphne, Alabama
Version 0.1, September 2026. Under review.
The short version. The Feed is a members-only space to cheer each other on. Be kind, share only your own stuff, do not coach or diagnose other Members, and keep what you see here in here. If something looks wrong, or someone looks like they are struggling, use the report button and Jeff will take it from there.
1. What this document is
1.1 These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") set the rules for the member feed inside the Fortified Fuel app (the "Feed"). They are part of your agreement with Fortified Fuel Fitness & Nutrition ("Fortified Fuel", "we", "us"). If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service (the "Terms"), the Terms win.
1.2 By posting, reacting, commenting or otherwise using the Feed, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
1.3 A few defined terms:
- "Member" means a person with an active Fortified Fuel account.
- "Post" means anything you put on the Feed: text, photos, comments, reactions, and questions.
- "Moderator" means Coach Jeff and anyone he appoints to help moderate the Feed.
- "Report" means using the in-app report button on a Post or Member.
2. What the Feed is for
2.1 The Feed is a members-only space to celebrate progress, ask questions, and cheer each other on. It is not public. Only Members can see it.
2.2 The Feed does three things:
- Milestone shout-outs. When you hit a milestone (a streak, a badge, a check-in run), the app can post an automatic shout-out to the Feed. You can turn this off for yourself at any time in your settings (see Section 8).
- Cheering. Members can react to and comment on each other's Posts.
- Sharing. You choose what to share. Nothing about your progress goes to the Feed unless you post it or you have left automatic shout-outs switched on.
2.3 The Feed is not a substitute for coaching. If you have a question about your own program, ask Jeff through in-app messaging or the AI coach. Other Members are not your coach.
3. Be decent
3.1 Encourage people. That is the whole point.
3.2 Do not:
- harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone;
- comment on anyone's body in a way that is negative, sexual or unwelcome, even as a "joke";
- mock anyone's starting point, pace, weight, ability, food choices or setbacks;
- coach other Members. Do not tell another Member what to eat, how to train, what to change or what is "wrong" with their plan. Cheering is welcome. Instructions are not, unless the Member asks and you make clear it is only your own experience;
- post hateful content or attack anyone based on race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, national origin or any similar characteristic;
- impersonate Jeff, a Moderator, or another Member.
3.3 Disagreeing is fine. Being unkind is not. If you would not say it to someone's face in Jeff's gym, do not post it.
4. What you may share
4.1 You may share:
- your own progress, wins, streaks, badges and milestones;
- your own setbacks and questions, if you want support;
- photos of yourself, if you choose to;
- workout and meal wins, recipes you enjoy that fit your plan, and general encouragement;
- questions for the community about the app, staying consistent, or life around training.
4.2 Sharing is always your choice. You never have to post anything to use Fortified Fuel.
5. What you may not share
5.1 Do not post:
- other people's photos or information without their clear permission. This includes family members, friends, and other Members. If someone else is in your photo, you need their permission;
- medical advice, including diagnoses, treatment suggestions, medication guidance or claims about what a food, workout or product will cure or treat;
- diet advice that contradicts a Member's plan. Every Member's nutrition plan is built for them. Do not tell another Member to cut foods, add foods, change calories or skip meals;
- promotion of extreme dieting, crash diets, "detoxes", cleanses or very low calorie approaches;
- weight loss drugs or supplements, including recommending, selling, sourcing or comparing them. This includes prescription medications, "fat burners", and unapproved products;
- eating-disorder-adjacent content, including fasting challenges, calorie-restriction competitions, "lowest calories wins" posts, purging, or content that glorifies not eating;
- sexual content of any kind, including sexualised comments on progress photos;
- spam, repeated posts, mass tagging, or off-topic flooding;
- selling anything or advertising products or services;
- affiliate links, discount codes or referral links of any kind;
- recruiting for other coaches, programs, apps, challenges or groups, whether paid or free;
- anything illegal, or anything that encourages illegal activity;
- anything that infringes copyright, trademark or another person's rights, including reposting someone else's paid content, programs or plans;
- anything that violates the Terms.
5.2 Fortified Fuel has a vendor intake process for third-party products Jeff has reviewed. If a product has not been through that process, do not promote it on the Feed. If you think Jeff should look at something, message him directly.
6. Privacy of the Feed
6.1 What is posted on the Feed stays in the community. Do not screenshot, copy, forward or share another Member's Posts, photos or information outside the Feed. Doing so is a breach of these Guidelines and may lead to enforcement under Section 12.
6.2 We ask every Member to respect this rule, but we cannot promise confidentiality. Other Members can see what you post, and we cannot control what they do with it. Post only what you are comfortable other Members seeing.
6.3 Do not post anyone's phone number, home address, email address, medical details or other personal information, including your own. Keep sensitive details out of the Feed.
6.4 How we handle your personal information, including Feed content, is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Photos
7.1 Post only photos of yourself, or photos where everyone shown has given you permission.
7.2 Progress photos are welcome if you choose to share them. Keep them appropriate: normal gym or workout clothing, no nudity, no underwear-only photos, no sexualised posing.
7.3 You can delete any Post or photo you have made. A deleted Post is removed from the Feed and is no longer visible to other Members.
7.4 Deleted content may remain in our backups until they roll off on a rolling schedule. The Privacy Policy explains how backups are handled.
7.5 Other Members may already have seen a Post before you deleted it. Deleting a Post does not undo that.
8. Automatic milestone shout-outs
8.1 The app can post an automatic shout-out to the Feed when you reach certain milestones. These shout-outs share the milestone itself (for example, a streak or a badge). They do not share your weight, measurements, photos, check-in answers or food logs.
8.2 You can turn automatic shout-outs off for yourself at any time in your account settings. Turning them off stops future shout-outs. It does not remove shout-outs already posted, but you can delete those yourself under Section 7.3.
9. When someone is struggling
9.1 Sometimes a Member posts something that suggests they are in crisis: thoughts of self-harm, a dangerous relationship with food, or being in immediate danger.
9.2 If you see a Post like that, Report it. Do not try to handle it alone, and do not pile on with advice. A kind comment is fine. A Report is what gets Jeff involved.
9.3 When a Post is Reported for this reason, Jeff will reach out to the Member directly and privately. He may also temporarily hide the Post to protect the Member.
9.4 If you are the one struggling, please reach out. Jeff is a coach, not a doctor, dietitian, physical therapist or mental health professional, but he will listen and help you find the right support. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. In the United States you can also call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) at any time.
9.5 The Feed is not an emergency service and is not monitored around the clock.
10. Moderation
10.1 Jeff and any Moderator he appoints may, at their discretion and without prior notice:
- remove any Post;
- hide a Post while they look into it;
- edit a Post to remove a link, personal information or an image, where a full removal is not needed;
- restrict a Member's ability to post, comment or react, for a set time or until further notice;
- take any step described in Section 12.
10.2 Moderators do not have to explain every decision, but will usually tell you when your Post is removed and why.
10.3 We do not review every Post before it goes live. Seeing a Post on the Feed does not mean we approve of it.
11. Reporting
11.1 You can Report any Post or Member using the report button in the app. You can also message Jeff directly in the app.
11.2 Tell us what the problem is. You do not have to be sure a rule was broken. If something feels off, Report it.
11.3 What happens next: a Moderator reviews the Report, may hide the Post while reviewing, and decides what action (if any) to take under Section 12. We will let you know when the Report is closed, though we may not share details of action taken against another Member.
11.4 Reports flagged as a crisis (Section 9) are looked at first.
11.5 Do not abuse the Report button. Repeated false or bad-faith Reports are themselves a breach of these Guidelines.
12. Enforcement ladder
12.1 We usually respond to a breach step by step:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Warning | A private message telling you what the problem was. |
| 2. Post removal | The Post is removed, with or without a warning. |
| 3. Posting restriction | You can read the Feed but cannot post, comment or react for a set period. |
| 4. Account suspension | Your account is paused under the Terms. |
| 5. Termination | Your account is closed for cause under the Terms. |
12.2 Egregious cases skip steps. Harassment, threats, sexual content, sharing another Member's photos outside the Feed, promoting weight loss drugs, and anything illegal can go straight to suspension or termination.
12.3 If your account is suspended or terminated under these Guidelines, the Terms govern what happens to your subscription.
12.4 Losing access to the Feed does not by itself change your subscription or the rest of your coaching. Suspension and termination do, as set out in the Terms.
13. Appeals
13.1 If you think a moderation decision was wrong, message Jeff in the app. Tell him what was decided and why you think it was wrong. He will look again and reply.
14. Your content
14.1 You own what you post. Posting on the Feed does not transfer ownership to Fortified Fuel.
14.2 By posting, you give Fortified Fuel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce and share your Post within the Feed and the app so that we can run the Feed, show your Post to other Members, and keep backups. This licence ends when you delete the Post, except for backup copies until they roll off and any copies we need to keep to handle a dispute or comply with law.
14.3 We will not use your Posts or photos in marketing, on the public website, or outside the Feed without your separate written consent.
14.4 You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that your Post does not infringe anyone else's rights.
14.5 The full terms on content, licences and intellectual property are in the Terms, which apply here.
15. Changes to these Guidelines
15.1 We may update these Guidelines from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version in the app with a new version date, and for material changes we will tell you in advance by email or in the App before the change takes effect.
15.2 If you keep using the Feed after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Guidelines. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Feed and continue with the rest of your membership, or cancel under the Terms.
16. Questions
16.1 If you are unsure whether something is okay to post, ask Jeff first through in-app messaging.
