Meal prep for shift work

Most nutrition advice assumes you eat at home. You do not. You eat what fits in a cooler and survives nine hours in a truck.

Prep once

One session, one afternoon. Cook the protein for the week in one pan and the carb in another. Portion it while it is still hot and put it in the fridge. You are not building meals, you are building the same meal six times.

You do not need variety. You need to not think about it at hour nine.

What actually travels

Chicken thighs over chicken breast. They do not go dry when reheated. Rice and potatoes over pasta. They hold up cold. Whole fruit over anything that needs a fridge. A shaker and a scoop in the bag for the shift you skip a meal.

Photograph to come.

When it falls apart

It will. Somebody calls overtime and the food is gone by hour eight. Hit the protein number and let the rest go. Protein is the one that holds the muscle you are paying to keep.

Motivation fades. Structure lasts. A cooler in the truck is structure.
